Cessna 172 - One of our VFR / IFR training workhorses.Training is a year round activity at Argyle Aviation.  Our 6 Certified Flight Instructors (CFI's) are led by Dick Bovey (also an FAA Pilot Examiner).  They provide VFR, IFR, High Performance, Twin, Aerobatic, Float, and Tail Wheel instruction for Light Sport, Recreation, Private, Commercial Pilot, and CFI ratings.

We maintain a safe, fun, and friendly environment at each of our Flight Training locations.  Argyle (1C3), NY (grass strip runway), Rutland (RUT), VT., Saratoga (5B2), NY (hard surface runways), and Fort Edward, NY.(Hudson River)

Dick Bovey (front cockpit) has been flying aerobatic aircraft for more than 40 years and has won awards in Sportman Class Aerobatic competitions. Although he no longer competes he is always happy to provide instruction (in our FAA waivered aerobatic box) to those pilots that want to learn aerobatic basics in their approved aircraft such as a Citabria, Clipped Wing Cub or Stearman.

The Cessna 150 was designed and built as a primary flight trainer.  Many northern NY and southern VT students have soloed in this 150 and many of those have completed their "Private Pilot's Test Flight" in the aircraft (this writer included). EVERY pilot remembers the aircraft they first soloed in, and so will YOU.

The Rutland,VT. flight school started March, 2009. It has many students with new one's starting all the time. We have just (8-09) started another flight school at SARATOGA,NY (5B2) with 3 of our 6 instructors. Saratoga flight school is home base for our Cessna 150 and also has support of our Cessna 172's as needed.
